At the start of 2021 I began working on a project entitled ‘Loop Work’; a series of short pieces based on loops which explore performer agency in different ways. Players are given different kinds of choices in each piece enabling them to influence the direction in which the music will go to a greater or lesser extent.

In June, I was fortunate enough to have four of the pieces workshopped by Plus-Minus Ensemble; the videos on this page are taken from that workshop.

I am currently writing more pieces under the ‘Loop Work’ banner and hope to involve a wide range of musicians and other artists in the project over time.
